[Confirmed teams] Brighton vs Arsenal: Pepe & Lacazette start
Arsenal will look to put the defeat at Man City behind us when we take on Brighton at the Amex this afternoon.
With David Luiz suspended following his dismissal on Wednesday night and Sokratis and Pablo Mari both out injured, Rob Holding is drafted in to start alongside Shkodran Mustafi in the middle of defence today.
Granit Xhaka is also ruled out with an ankle problem so Matteo Guendouzi starts with Dani Ceballos in midfield. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is joined by Alexandre Lacazette and Nicolas Pepe in attack.
It will be interesting to see how Arsenal line-up as Bukayo Saka is also starting in attack so we could be playing a 4-4-2 or Saka could be deployed in the No.10 role – which is something he’s been doing in training recently.
Sead Kolasinac replaces Kieran Tierney at left-back while Mesut Ozil is back on the bench after not being involved against City in midweek. Youngster Zach Medley is also called up to the squad to cover in defence.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Leno, Bellerin, Mustafi, Holding, Kolasinac, Pepe, Ceballos, Guendouzi, Saka, Aubameyang, Lacazette.
Subs: Tierney, Ozil, Maitland-Niles, Nelson, Martinez, Willock, Nketiah, Martinelli, Medley
Brighton
Ryan, Schelotto, Webster, Dunk, Burn, Propper, Bissouma, Mooy, Gross, Trossard, Maupay
Subs: Lamptey, Duffy, Stephens, Mac Allister, Murray, March, Montoya, Button, Connolly
