Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – Saliba out, Saka starts with Trossard
Arsenal can move eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium this afternoon.
Mikel Arteta has been dealt a major blow with the news that William Saliba is facing a spell on the sidelines with a back injury that he picked up during the early stages of Arsenal’s Europa League draw with Sporting Lisbon. Rob Holding is recalled to start alongside Gabriel in the middle of defence today.
Oleksandr Zinchenko once again starts at left-back while Ben White is recalled at right-back in place of Takehiro Tomiyasu – who’s also ruled out after suffering an injury on Thursday night.
Thomas Partey replaces Jorginho in the holding midfield role while Granit Xhaka starts for Arsenal once again. Martin Odegaard comes in for Fabio Vieira while Bukayo Saka is also recalled on the right flank with Reiss Nelson making way.
Gabriel Martinelli keeps his place in the starting eleven while Leandro Trossard also starts so Gabriel Jesus drops to the bench having only recently made his return from a long-term knee injury.
These are the line-ups:
Arsenal
Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Partey; Odegaard, Xhaka, Martinelli, Saka, Trossard
Subs: Tierney, Gabriel Jesus, Smith Rowe, Kiwior, Jorginho, Vieira, Nelson, Turner, Walters
Crystal Palace

Subs: Tomkins, Ayew, Eze, Mateta, Clyne, Hughes, Richards, Ahamada, Goodman
