Video: Bournemouth 3-3 Arsenal: Giroud salvages point in thriller
Olivier Giroud scored in stoppage time as Arsenal came from three goals down to salvage a dramatic 3-3 draw at Bournemouth tonight.
Shocking defending from Bellerin allowed Daniel’s to cut inside and beat Cech once again at his near post to give Bournemouth the lead in the 16th minute.
The hosts were then gifted the chance to double their lead just minutes later when Xhaka needlessly barged Fraser just inside the area when there was little danger. Cech got nowhere near Wilson’s penalty so it was 2-0 after just 20 minutes.
Things went from bad to worse when Bellerin was pushed to the floor by Fraser but predictably nothing was given and the Bournemouth winger cut in before sending the ball through Cech’s legs for 3-0.
We finally woke up and pulled one back with 20 minutes to go when Sanchez headed home at the far post from a Giroud flick before Perez made it 3-2 with a stunning volley just 5 minutes later.
The hosts were then reduced to 10 men when Francis was sent off for a dangerous challenge on Ramsey and we completed a stunning comeback when Giroud nodded home in stoppage time.
