Arsenal keen on signing RB Leipzig star Antonio Nusa

By on November 2, 2026

Arsenal are showing a serious interest in signing exciting Norwegian international forward Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Nusa has taken over the reins as Leipzig’s talisman from Yan Diomande, who left in the summer to join Real Madrid in a big-money move.

He was already considered one of Europe’s brightest young talents before the start of this campaign, having made a name for himself at Club Brugge. During his time in Belgium, he became the youngest Norwegian to feature in the UEFA Champions League and the competition’s second-youngest Norwegian goalscorer, achieving the feat at 17 years, four months and 27 days.

His reputation grew further after Leipzig brought him to Germany in the summer of 2024, where he quickly established himself as an exciting prospect.

Having struggled to hit double figures in goals or assists, Nusa has been in terrific form this season, already reaching 12 goal contributions in 14 games across all competitions and ten in eight Bundesliga games so far.

The 21-year-old recently delivered a man-of-the-match performance in the 2-0 win over Schalke on matchweek eight, scoring once and providing an assist. This took his tally to four goal contributions in his last two games in Germany, having previously registered two assists against SV Elversberg on matchweek seven.

Serious interest

It’s no surprise his prolific form is now catching the eye, with Tuttomercatoweb reporting that Arsenal have expressed a serious interest in signing Nusa.

The report adds that the Gunners are confident they can complete the left winger’s transfer to the Emirates Stadium, having identified him as a strong option to bolster Mikel Arteta’s attack.

It appears Arsenal are accelerating their efforts to seal the deal, with the report adding that the Gunners made enquiries over the possibility of paying

However, with Leipzig holding on to a £58m price tag, a significant valuation gap remains after Arsenal enquired about a £45m agreement, although they are willing to increase their offer, according to the report.

Arsenal currently have Christos Tzolis and the versatile Noni Madueke option, but none have produced the same impact as Nusa this campaign.

The Norwegian, described as ‘extraordinary’ by Erling Haaland, would bring flair, directness and, most especially, goalscoring and creative output to Arteta’s side should the Gunners complete his transfer.
