Arsenal eye ambitious move to sign PSG star Desire Doue

By on October 28, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly planning to launch an ambitious swoop to sign Paris Saint-Germain forward Desire Doue, as per TEAMtalk.

Since moving to Parc des Princes from Stade Rennais, the 21-year-old has enjoyed great success over the last two years, winning two Ligue 1 titles, as many Champions League trophies and several other major cup competitions.

During his debut campaign for PSG, Doue made 30 goal contributions across all competitions. He even tallied 21 goals and assists in 40 appearances in all tournaments last term.

This season, Doue has continued to showcase promising performances, making eight goal contributions in 12 matches across all competitions.

Having proven his worth in club football, the youngster has secured his place in the France national team’s star-studded squad.

Now, TEAMtalk state that Arsenal are considering strengthening the frontline and have been monitoring Doue’s development. They have even made checks about his availability.

Apart from the Gunners, Chelsea and Manchester City have also been keeping a close eye on his development. Moreover, despite failing to buy Doue in 2024, Bayern Munich have continued to show interest in him.

However, the report state that PSG have no intention of letting him leave and are progressing in talks to tie him down to a fresh long-term contract, with his current deal set to run until 2029.

Doue, valued at around £100m by Transfermarkt, is a versatile forward as he is comfortable on either flank; moreover, he previously played in the creative midfield position for Stade Rennais.

The Frenchman is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and is efficient in creating opportunities for fellow attackers.

Moreover, he has an eye for scoring goals from distance and works hard without possession. Doue has already established himself as one of the best forwards in the world and hasn’t reached his prime yet.

Therefore, he would be a great coup for Arsenal should they purchase him. Following Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s departures this summer, Arsenal signed only Christos Tzolis.

So, Mikel Arteta has used Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke to support the Greek, but Eze is more comfortable in the CAM role, while Madueke is a right-winger by trait.
