Arsenal Eye Move to Beat Liverpool to Milos Kerkez
Arsenal are planning a possible summer move for Bournemouth full-back Milos Kerkez, according to reports from GIVEMESPORT.
The Gunners are looking at ways to strengthen their defence, and Kerkez is now on their shortlist.
The 21-year-old has been impressive since moving to the Premier League and could be on the move again soon.
Kerkez joined Bournemouth from Dutch club AZ Alkmaar in July 2023 and has since become a key member of their squad.
He has played 34 matches this season and improved his end product. He now has two goals and six assists to his name.
Kerkez’s strong form has not gone unnoticed. Several top clubs in Europe are now monitoring the defender closely.
Arsenal Face Battle with Liverpool
Liverpool are believed to be currently leading the race for the Hungarian international and new manager Arne Slot is said to be eager to add a fresh left-back to his squad this summer.
The Reds have relied on Andy Robertson for years, but his recent form has dipped compared to previous seasons.
Liverpool are looking for a long-term option who can match the levels Robertson once reached.
Kerkez is seen as a player with huge potential, and his age makes him an ideal signing for a club planning for the future.
Arsenal are also exploring their options in that position. The emergence of Myles Lewis-Skelly has been a big positive for them.
He has filled in well at left-back, but Mikel Arteta may still want to add more depth in defence.
Riccardo Calafiori is still within the Gunners squad, but Mikel Arteta could be looking for a traditional left back. However, the Gunners are still weighing up their choices.
Arsenal could provide competition with the Reds for the transfer of the Hungarian but Bournemouth could demand in the region of £40m to allow him to depart.
It remains to be seen which club will act first, but the battle for Kerkez is heating up as the window nears.
