Arsenal ‘keen’ on signing Fiorentina star Moise Kean
Arsenal are reportedly ‘keen’ on signing Fiorentina striker Moise Kean, as per Caught Offside.
The Italian came onto the scene having displayed impressive performances for Juventus during the early stages of his career. But, his development halted after moving to Everton.
Following a season-long loan spell with Paris Saint-Germain, the 24-year-old opted to return to Bianconeri. But, he couldn’t showcase his best at Allianz Stadium before joining La Viola last summer.
Upon moving to Stadio Artemio Franchi, Kean has enjoyed a stellar campaign thus far this season, scoring 19 goals and registering two assists in all competitions. He has been guiding his side to mount a top-four charge this season.
Now, Caught Offside state that after being impressed by his displays this season, Arsenal are ‘keen’ on purchasing him in the upcoming transfer window to strengthen the attacking department.
Fiorentina are open to cashing-in on him should they receive an offer of around £43m with his current contract set to run until 2029.
Kean to Arsenal
The player is open to return to the Premier League to prove his worth so this is a big boost for Arsenal to secure his service. However, purchasing him won’t be straightforward as Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are also interested in him.
The Gunners are said to be looking to hire a prolific goalscorer in the upcoming transfer window to finally win the Premier League title next season.
Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are the two striker options Arsenal currently have but neither has proven that they have the necessary qualities to help the Gunners achieve their lofty ambitions. Now, they have sustained serious injuries so their season is already over.
It has widely been reported that Alexander Isak and Benjamin Sesko are the two striker options Arsenal are prioritising. But, they will be more expensive options than Kean.
However, Kean hasn’t showcased his qualities at the highest level consistently enough to prove that he possesses the necessary abilities to help Arsenal win big silverware.
Nevertheless, it is going to be interesting to see who the North London club eventually decide to hire Kean to reinforce the attacking department.
