Arsenal preparing formal offer to sign RB Leipzig forward Antonio Nusa

By on October 5, 2026

Arsenal are preparing a formal offer to sign highly rated Norwegian international left winger Antonio Nusa from RB Leipzig in 2027, as per Fussball News.

Nusa spent most of his early formative years in Norway, first joining his hometown club, Langhus, before playing for Stabæk Fotball.

As part of their excellent global scouting operations, his qualities were spotted by Club Brugge, who brought him to Belgium at just 16 in the summer of 2021.

A memorable milestone followed in September 2022, when the youngster scored during Club Brugge’s emphatic 4–0 win over FC Porto to emerge as the youngest Norwegian to feature in the UEFA Champions League and the competition’s second-youngest goalscorer, aged just 17 years, four months and 27 days.

Since moving to Leipzig in the summer of 2024, Nusa has maintained his upward momentum for both club and country, leading his Norwegian teammate Erling Haaland to describe him as ‘extraordinary’.

His recent performances have included three goals and two assists across six appearances in all competitions for Leipzig, as well as impeccable displays for Norway, particularly at the recently concluded FIFA World Cup and the ongoing UEFA Nations League.

Now, according to Fussball News, Nusa’s displays have piqued the attention of several top clubs across Europe.

Nusa to Arsenal

However, it appears Arsenal are looking to trump other rivals in the race for the youngster, as the German outlet claims that the Gunners are leading the race to sign the attacking ace.

Amid suggestions the Gunners could be targeting other big-name stars, the report confirms that the Premier League champions hold a concrete interest in Nusa and are preparing to submit a formal £34m offer for the Norwegian’s potential transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

Nusa has been one of Norway’s best players during the ongoing international break, which has further heightened interest in him. As a result, it’s no surprise that Fussball News reports that several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Newcastle United, Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, AS Roma, AC Milan, Inter Milan, Juventus and SSC Napoli, are also interested in the youngster.

Despite the keen interest from several clubs, Leipzig are not open to letting Nusa depart the Red Bull Arena in the January transfer window and will only consider a significant offer between £51 and £55m to sanction the 21-year-old’s departure, according to the report.

Looking at his statistics this season, where he averages 3.16 successful dribbles per game, Nusa would bring additional attacking threat to Mikel Arteta’s attack should Arsenal trump other rivals to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
