[Video & Photos] Pepe nutmegs Xhaka as £72m signing trains with new Arsenal team-mates

Nicolas Pepe looks like he has been impressing his new team mates after taking part in training for the first time since sealing a £72m move to Arsenal on Thursday.

The 24-year-old was finally unveiled as our club record signing yesterday after we beat-off competition from several top European clubs to secure his signature on a long-term contract from Lille.

Pepe did some individual training work away from the first team yesterday but he joined in with the main group at London Colney this afternoon to train with his new team-mates for the first time.

It looks like the Ivory Coast international impressed as footage has emerged of him nutmegging Granit Xhaka AND follow summer signing Gabriel Martinelli while taking part in some passing drills.

Nobody likes a show-off but it’s good to see our new signing has the confidence to pull off some tricks on his very first training session and he’s sure to bring some excitement to the Arsenal attack this season.

Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac were also out on the training pitches today following their car-jacking horror while the likes of Dani Ceballos, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Lucas Torreira also took part in the session.

Alexandre Lacazette was snapped doing some gym work but it’s not clear whether he took part in training outside as he looks to recover from a minor ankle injury that he picked up at the Emirates Cup.
