Video: Arsenal 5-0 Huddersfield: Ozil on target as Gunners run riot
Arsenal put in a five star performance as we thrashed Huddersfield Town 5-0 at the Emirates this evening.
It was the perfect start as Alexandre Lacazette slotted home with a cool finish to score the opening goal in the 3rd minute after being sent clear by a wonderful flick by Aaron Ramsey.
We missed some great chances to double our lead but eventually made it 2-0 and it was a beautiful team goal as some great interplay between Sanchez and Ozil led to the German teeing-up Olivier Giroud to sweep home in the 68th minute.
Arsenal were now in the mood and less than 60 seconds later it was 3-0 as Ozil’s cross found Sanchez and the Chilean lashed home high in to the net to put us in total control.
A hectic four minutes resulted in another goal as Ramsey sent Ozil clear and the German international cooly slotted past the keeper to make it 4-0 in the 72nd minute.
There was still time for us to add some gloss to the scoreline as Giroud got his second of the game to seal a 5-0 victory that tightens our grip on fourth place.
