Video: Germany 2-2 France: Lacazette scores double as Ozil bags assist

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette scored twice while Mesut Ozil grabbed an assist as Germany drew 2-2 with France in Cologne this evening.

Lacazette opened the scoring for the visitors midway through the first half as he tapped home from close range following some good work from Anthony Martial.

Germany levelled up through Timo Werner shortly after half time after Arsenal playmaker Ozil sent the striker through on goal with a fine pass.

Lacazette restored France’s lead as he raced on to a Kylian Mbappe through ball to fire home in the 71st minute but Germany snatched a draw at the death through Lars Stindl to make it 2-2.

It’s great to see Lacazette among the goals and Ozil back doing what he does best [assisting]. Let’s hope the boys continue this form against Tottenham on Saturday!
