Video: Southampton 0-5 Arsenal: Welbeck & Walcott destroy Saints
Danny Welbeck made a dream comeback as he scored twice during Arsenal’s 5-0 thrashing of Southampton in the FA Cup tonight.
We opened the scoring in 15th minute when Perez sent Welbeck clear with a lovely flick and ‘Dat Guy’ announced his comeback with a superb finish off the bar for 1-0.
The England international then doubled our lead just minutes later as he raced on to a superb long range pass from Oxlade-Chamberlain to slot home his second of the game.
It was 3-0 before half time and this time Welbeck turned provider as he cut back from the by-line for Walcott who poked home in the 35th minute.
We continued to dominate after the break and added a fourth when substitute Sanchez found Walcott and he slotted in to the bottom corner for 4-0 in the 69th minute.
There was still time for one more as Sanchez set-up Walcott again complete his hat trick with a break away goal in the 84th minute to secure our place in the fifth round draw.
