TEAM: Monreal Out! Arsenal Starting XI To Take On West Brom
Arsenal are back in Premier League action tomorrow when we take on West Brom at the Hawthorns. Here I discuss the team I’d like to see start the match….
Szczesny hasn’t trained all week after suffering a pelvic injury against United so it looks as though Martinez is going to continue in goal. The youngster was very composed against Dortmund so hopefully he can put in another positive display this weekend.
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Koscielny is fit and available to start so I’d like to see him resurrect his partnership with Per at the back. Monreal has done well in recent games but we HAVE to win this weekend so shouldn’t be taking any chances. Otherwise the rest of the back-four should stay the same with Gibbs and Chambers in the full-back slots.
With Arteta out for around three weeks and Wilshere for three months, we have little option but to start Flamini and Ramsey in midfield.
Cazorla was excellent in midweek so fully deserves to keep his place, as does The Ox after another superb display against Dortmund. Obviously Sanchez should start.
Up front we have a doubt over Welbeck as he’s facing a late test on a knee injury. I wouldn’t take any chances on him as Giroud is back so let’s give the Frenchman his first start since August. Sanogo is out with a hamstring problem he suffered in midweek.
This is how I’d line-up:
Much will depend on the outcome of the fitness tests we give to Szczesny and Welbeck today but this is very much the team I’d expect to line-up tomorrow.
After back-to-back league defeats, we need to get back to winning ways and hopefully the win over Dortmund will give the squad a much-needed confidence boost.
What side would you play tomorrow?

Sometime last month I heard Coquelin was loaned out for one month. Isn’t he back yet? I would deploy him in the defensive midfiled with Ramsey. Flamini playing days are in his past. In anycase, in case of injury to Flamini or Ramsey, we are really short in that midfield..
