Video: Arsenal 1-2 Swansea: Toothless Gunners blow it
Arsenal once again blew their chance to get back in the title race after a disgraceful 2-1 defeat at home to Swansea on Wednesday night.
We opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Alexis Sanchez found Joel Campbell with a superb pass and the Costa Rican turned the ball home with an excellent finish.
However, the visitors equalised in controversial fashion when Wayne Routledge raced clear to slot past Petr Cech for 1-1 in the 32nd minute – but we should have had a free-kick with Mesut Ozil clearly fouled in the build up.
The winner came midway through the second half when Cech failed to deal with a Sigurdsson free-kick and Williams bundled the ball home.
The players barely got out of first gear during the final 20 minutes and we failed to muster a decent shot on target as we slumped to a second straight league defeat.
