Video: Arsenal 2-0 Everton: Laca & Auba on target as Gunners extend winning run
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette were both on target as Arsenal beat Everton 2-0 at the Emirates this afternoon.
It was another sloppy start from us as we struggled to get going in the first half and we had Petr Cech to thank for the scoreline still being 0-0 at half-time as he made a number of solid saves.
However, we improved after the break and broke the deadlock in the 56th minute thanks to a stunner from Alexandre Lacazette as the Frenchman found the top corner with a curled effort from just inside the area.
Three minutes later and it was 2-0. Mesut Ozil was put through on goal and in true Ozil style he opted to pass rather than shoot. His pass was slightly behind Ramsey so he flicked it on to an offside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who finished well. The linesman kept his flag down to the goal stood. Lucky Arsenal.
Everton couldn’t find a way back in to the game so we sealed a 2-0 win and a clean sheet that moves us to within one point of the top four.
