23-year-old handed start: My Arsenal starting XI vs Crystal Palace
Arsenal desperately need to bring three point back to north London when we take on Crystal Palace on Monday evening.
This is the team I’d like to see Arsene Wenger go with….
Goalkeeper: Martinez
Cech and Ospina have both once again been ruled out with calf and muscle injuries so Martinez is set to keep the shirt after putting in a solid display during our win over West Ham last week.
Defence: Bellerin, Mustafi, Gabriel, Monreal
The back four played very well against the Hammers and Gabriel put in a surprisingly good performance against Andy Carroll so I don’t think there will be any changes tomorrow night.
With Kosicelny still ruled out due to an Achilles injury Gabriel should continue alongside Mustafi while Bellerin and Monreal will once again occupy the full-back positions.
Midfield: Xhaka, The Ox
I’ve seen a lot of praise for the Elneny-Xhaka combination following the West Ham win. I thought Elneny did a solid job but I’d personally like to see more dynamism alongside Xhaka so I’d rather Oxlade-Chamberlain gets a recall.
The 23-year-old was playing very well in central midfield before he got injured so I’d like to see him recalled to the eleven with Elneny and Ramsey as options on the bench.
Attack: Walcott, Ozil, Sanchez, Welbeck
Ozil was back to his best last time out with a goal and an assist so hopefully we’ll see him continue that form in to tomorrow night’s game as we’re a much better team when he’s on fire.
Walcott was once again on the score-sheet during our 3-0 win over Slaven Bilic’s side so he should keep his place out on the right with Sanchez once again on the left. The Chilean international looked dangerous against West Ham so hopefully he can get back among the goals tomorrow.
Welbeck got another useful 74 minutes under his belt and although Giroud came off the bench to score a fine goal, I hope Wenger sticks with Danny up front and keeps Olivier as an option from the bench.
This would be my line-up:
