No Sanchez but Arsenal duo named in Premier League Team of the Week

Arsenal duo Laurent Koscielny and Nacho Monreal have been named in the latest WhoScored Premier League Team of the Week.

Koscielny marshalled our defence to a much-needed clean sheet as we thrashed Swansea City 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The French international’s impressive display at the back earned him a rating of 8.19, which was the highest of any Premier League defender this week, so it’s no surprise to see him named in the WhoScored team of the week.

Monreal also put in a solid performance against the Swans and the Spaniard has also made the TOTW thanks to his rating of 7.51.

However, there was no place for Alexis Sanchez in the team, despite the fact the Chilean international was named as the ‘star man’ in the game on Saturday.

Sanchez scored our fourth goal during a superb all-round display to earn a rating of 8.7 but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to see him make the team with the likes of Harry Kane, Peter Crouch and Marcos Alonso all achieving higher ratings.
