Video: Arsenal 1-1 Crystal Palace: Gunners bottle it once again
Arsenal once again bottled the chance to put some pressure on the top two after throwing away another two points with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace this afternoon.
After a very lacklustre first half, we eventually produced an opening when Danny Welbeck did well to seize possession just outside the penalty box and find Alexis Sanchez with a lovely ball before the Chilean international looped a header over Hennessey for 1-0.
We continued to pass the ball around and dominate possession in the second half but failed to take our chances and predictably we got caught out at the back as Petr Cech allowed Bolasie’s long-range effort to sneak in to the bottom corner in the 81st minute.
We barley summoned a response and slumped to another disappointing draw which not only dented our hopes of finishing above Tottenham but also puts our top four position in doubt.
