Video: Arsenal 2-3 Olympiakos: Ospina Drops Clanger As Gunners Crash
Another embarrassing night for Arsenal in the Champions League ended with a 3-2 defeat to Olympiakos at the Emirates tonight.
The visitors took a shock first half lead when a shot from the edge of the box took a huge deflection of The Ox and flew past Ospina.
We drew level almost instantly when Walcott’s shot squirmed in for 1-1 but Ospina then inexplicably dropped a routine corner into his own net for 1-2.
Replays were inconclusive as to whether the entire ball had crossed the line but you deserve no luck dropping clangers like that.
We looked like we’d given ourselves a chance of pulling off a comeback after drawing level at 2-2 in the 65th minute when Sanchez headed home Walcott’s cross.
However, school-boy defending of the highest order gifted Olympiakos a third within a minute as they swept home for 3-2.
We couldn’t find a way back in to the game so we sit bottom of Group F on 0 points with back-to-back games against Bayern Munich to come.
Watch the goals here if you dare:
