Video Highlights: Arsenal 0-0 Sunderland: Lots Of Chances, No Goals
Arsenal failed to score at home for the third consecutive game as Sunderland somehow left the Emirates with a 0-0 draw tonight.
The first half was largely forgettable but the second period was a more entertaining affair, with both sides having chances to break the deadlock.
Sunderland had at least 9 men behind the ball at all times but they were dangerous on the break, with Fletcher going close twice to grabbing an undeserved goal.
Theo Walcott was our main danger as he came off the bench to test Pantillimon on several occasions but the big keeper was equal to everything thrown at him.
The draw almost guarantees third as it would take a 7-goal swing for United to overhaul us, but it’s worrying form from Arsenal as we head into the cup final next week.
