Video: Arsenal 4-1 Liverpool: Sanchez & Ozil Score Stunners In Rout

By on April 4, 2015

Arsenal moved up to second in the Premier League with an impressive 4-1 demolition of Liverpool at the Emirates this afternoon.

We opened the scoring in the 37th minute when Hector Bellerin curled home a lovely left-footed strike before Mesut Ozil made it 2-0 just three minutes later as he found the back of the net with a stunning free-kick.

A thrilling first half came to an end with Arsenal in total control as Alexis Sanchez made it 3-0 when he smashed home a powerful strike from the edge of the area.

Bellerin then gifted Liverpool a way back into the game when he fouled Sterling in the box. Ospina guessed right and should have saved Henderson’s resulting penalty but it squeezed home for 3-1.

However, after Emre Can was given his marching orders, Olivier Giroud wrapped up the three points with another fine strike from the edge of the box.
