Video: Lukas Podolski Scores As Mesut Ozil Captains Germany

Arsenal attacker Lukas Podolski was on the score-sheet as Mesut Ozil captained Germany to a 2-2 draw with Australia tonight.

Podolski is enduring a difficult time on loan at Inter Milan but he was still picked for his country and came off the bench to grab a late equaliser as the World Champions were held by the Ausies.

It was a typical Poldi strike as he swept home a loose ball with his lethal left-boot.

Ozil played the entire ninety minutes and thankfully he didn’t appear to pick up any sort of injury.

The playmaker also got the honour of putting on the captains armband when Sami Khedira was substituted in the 63rd minute.
