VIDEO: Southampton 2-0 Arsenal: Shambolic Defending Costs Us Again
Arsenal slumped to a disappointing 2-0 defeat away at Southampton this afternoon thanks to some shambolic defending from the Gunners.
The Saints took the lead midway through the first half and it wasn’t a pretty goal from our point-of-view with Koscielny, Szczesny and Mertesacker all at fault as Mane curled home from a tight angle for 1-0.
The home side doubled their lead in the 56th minute when Tadic poked home from close range with Debuchy and Szczesny at fault this time around following a mix-up at the back.
It could have got worse but the score finished 2-0 and we’re now three points adrift of fourth-placed Southampton.

This is not a knee jerk reaction. If Wenger doesn’t do what is required to improve Arsenal he has really lost the plot. The defence has been an
issue for so many years. He shd get a Tony Pulis clone to improve the gunners defence.
Arsenal can only fight for 3rd/4th spot. This could be the season when they will finally be punished after 16 years. All good things must come to an end.
When you see how other teams score it’s no wonder Arsenal find it tough with their style.I believe the gunners will only start to challenge only when the fm leaves because he is too wedded to his soccer philosophy to change.
