We came agonisingly close to sneaking top spot after cruising to a 4-1 win over Galatasaray tonight with Aaron Ramsey scoring the pick of the goals.

Lukas Podolski got us off to the perfect start as he released his hammer left foot to make it 1-0 inside two minutes before Aaron Ramsey made it 2-0 with a cool finish.

The midfielder then scored an absolute worldy as he fired home an unstoppable strike from 30 yards to make it 3-0 after 3 minutes. Seriously, you really need to see it to believe it.

The hosts pulled one back through a wonderful Sneijder free-kick before Podolski grabbed his second with a fine finish in injury time.

Borussia Dortmund were held to a 1-1 draw by Anderlecht in the groups other game so unfortunately we finish second on goal difference.
