Arsenal Drawn To Play Southampton In Capital One Cup
Arsenal have been drawn to play Southampton in the third round of the Capital One Cup.
The draw took place shortly after our nervy 1-0 win over Besiktas in the Champions League, where Alexis Sanchez scored the winner.
Whilst Arsene Wenger was probably hoping to avoid Premier League opposition, unfortunately we will have to face Southampton at the Emirates.
It’s certainly a more difficult draw than we would have wanted, but it will give some of the fringe players a chance to test themselves.
The game will be played on the week commencing 22nd September.
