The Gunners have accumulated 50 points from 22 matches, sitting seven points ahead of second-placed Manchester City.

On the other hand, although the Red Devils have been inconsistent thus far this season, they will be coming into this game off the back of last weekend’s confidence-boosting Derby victory.

Arsenal managed to come away with a slender 1-0 victory over Man Utd in the reverse game at Old Trafford in the opening Premier League game of this campaign.

The North London club have endured numerous injury problems since the start of this season, but things are looking much better ahead of this fixture.

Piero Hincapié and Riccardo Calafiori have been the only players on the treatment table in recent times, but there is a chance the duo might be fit enough to be involved in this game.

Ethan Nwaneri has joined Olympique de Marseille on a loan deal until the end of this season, having struggled to find regular game time. So, he isn’t in contention to feature.

Predicted line-up

Mikel Arteta made a few changes to his starting line-up in midweek but is expected to go with his strongest XI for this game. David Raya is set to continue in goal, while Gabriel Magalhaes should return to the line-up after starting on the bench vs the Nerazzurri.

The Brazilian should be deployed alongside William Saliba in the centre-back position, while Ben White and Jurrien Timber might be the two fullbacks. So, Hincapié and Calafiori would have to make do with a place on the bench if they can return to the matchday squad.

Declan Rice is likely to be in the engine room alongside Martin Zubimendi, with Martin Odegaard set to be the creative midfielder for Arsenal. So, Eberechi Eze and Mikel Merino should return to the beach after commencing in midweek.

Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard are expected to be the two wingers, while Viktor Gyokeres could lead the line for the hosts after putting his name on the scoresheet last time out. So, Gabriel Jesus may feature off the bench.
