Confirmed line-ups: Arsenal vs Hull City: Tzolis & Bruno start for Gunners
Arsenal return to Premier League action this afternoon as we entertain Hull City at the Emirates Stadium.
We continued our fine form with a hard fought 2-1 away victory over Slavia Praha in the Champions League on Wednesday night. Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres got the all-important goals to keep Arsenal on course to qualify for the knockout stages.
However, the focus shifts to domestic matters today and we’ll be looking to extend our lead at the top of the Premier League table. Arsenal moved three points clear with a 1-0 win over Liverpool at Anfield last weekend so we can extend that position with a win over Hull.
David Raya keeps goal once again while Jurrien Timber is recalled in place of Ben White at right-back. Ezri Konsa continues alongside Gabriel Magalhaes in the middle of defence as William Saliba is still not ready to return. He was on the bench in midweek but isn’t involved in the squad today.
Piero Hincapie makes way for Riccardo Calafiori at left-back while Declan Rice starts once again amid fears over his excessive workload. Bruno Guimarães is recalled with Martin Zubimendi dropping to the bench while Martin Odegaard returns to captain the side with Mikel Merino making way.
Noni Madueke retains his place on the right wing after a strong display in midweek. Eberechi Eze drops to the bench with Christos Tzolis recalled on the left flank.
Viktor Gyokeres scored a fine goal against Slavia Praha and assisted the opening goal, but he still hasn’t done enough to keep his place with Kai Havertz recalled up front for Arsenal this afternoon.
These are the teams:
