Predicted Arsenal line-up against Burnley
Arsenal will travel to Turf Moor to face off against newly promoted Burnley in the Premier League this teatime.
The Gunners will be coming into this game off the back of a comfortable 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion in the Carabao Cup fourth round fixture in midweek.
Mikel Arteta’s side are currently at the top of the Premier League table with 22 points from nine games, sitting four points ahead of second-placed AFC Bournemouth.
The North London club won six games across all competitions without conceding any goals in October, so Arteta’s side should come away with all three points without facing much trouble in this game.
Team news
Gabriel Jesus, Kai Havertz, Martin Odegaard, and Noni Madueke have been on the long-term injury list and aren’t close to returning just yet. Moreover, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli were sidelined due to injury problems in midweek and aren’t ready to be involved today.
Predicted line-up
Arteta has been handed a deep squad to challenge on all fronts and utilised his squad depth in midweek. Today, the Spanish boss is likely to make a few changes from the previous game.
David Raya is set to return to the starting line-up, and Kepa Arrizabalaga would have to make do with a place on the bench. Cristhian Mosquera might be in the centre-back position alongside Gabriel Magalhaes amid Saliba’s absence.
Jurrien Timber is set to be in the right-back position, and Riccardo Calafiori should be on the opposite side after starting on the bench in the last game. Therefore, Ben White and Myles Lewis-Skelly could be on the bench, having started in midweek.
Martin Zubimendi would be paired up with Declan Rice in the engine room for the North London club, deploying Eberechi Eze in the CAM role. So, Christian Norgaard and Mikel Merino should be among the substitutes after starting in midweek.
Bukayo Saka is expected to be on the right flank after putting his name on the scoresheet last time out, while Leandro Trossard should be on the right. Viktor Gyokeres is set to lead the line for the visitors.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Burnley
Raya; Timber, Mosquera, Gabriel, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Rice, Eze; Saka, Gyokeres, Trossard
