Arsenal handed injury boost as Hincapie returns to training
Arsenal have been given a major lift as defender Piero Hincapie has returned to full training, according to Sky Sports reporter Sam Blitz.
The Ecuadorian centre-back joined Arsenal in the summer of 2025 on a season-long loan deal that includes an option to buy.
The total package is worth around £45 million and also includes a 10 per cent sell-on clause.
Since his arrival, the 23-year-old has been limited to just one appearance for the Gunners.
That outing came in the Champions League, where he replaced Riccardo Calafiori late in the game.
Soon after, he was ruled out with a groin injury, which kept him sidelined for several weeks and saw him miss a number of important matches.
Hincapie’s return strengthens Arsenal’s defence
In a recent video shared by Sky Sports, Hincapie was seen taking part in full training with the rest of the first-team squad.

His return is a major boost for manager Mikel Arteta, who has been short of defensive options in recent weeks.
Hincapie’s versatility makes him a valuable addition to the back line.
He is comfortable playing as a central defender alongside William Saliba or Gabriel Magalhães and can also cover at left-back when needed.
This gives Arsenal greater flexibility ahead of a demanding run of fixtures.
With Arsenal still fighting on multiple fronts this season, his availability could prove vital in maintaining balance within the squad.
Arteta will be eager to integrate the defender gradually to ensure he does not suffer a recurrence of his injury.
Ben White missing as Arsenal prepare for Fulham
While Hincapie’s return brings positive news, Arsenal were dealt another concern as Ben White was not seen in training.
The English defender has been managing a series of minor injuries since the beginning of the campaign.
His latest absence may point to another setback, leaving the coaching staff with fresh worries ahead of their upcoming matches.
Elsewhere, players returning from international duty were back in training at London Colney.
However, several key names remain unavailable.
Kai Havertz, Martin Ødegaard, and Noni Madueke are still recovering from their respective injuries and are yet to rejoin full training.
Arsenal will next travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham as they aim to continue their push for the Premier League title.
The Gunners currently sit at the top of the table and will look to maintain momentum with another strong performance.
