Team news: Wenger confirms injury boost but 2 key men could miss out
Arsene Wenger has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this morning ahead of our final Premier League game against Everton.
The boss has provided a team news and injury update including the latest on Laurent Koscielny, Aaron Ramsey and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Ramsey was forced off during the second half of our win over Sunderland in midweek after picking up a calf problem but thankfully Wenger says the midfielder will be ‘alright’ for this weekend.
Koscielny missed the win over the Black Cats after aggravating an Achilles injury during the win over Stoke City last weekend and the boss says he’ll have a late fitness test to see whether he’ll be available to face Everton.
However, Oxlade-Chamberlain is still out as the midfielder is still recovering from a hamstring problem that’s kept him out of the last three matches. He’s now facing a race against time to be fit for the FA Cup final next weekend.
Here is what Wenger told the press this morning:
"Chamberlain is not back and we have uncertainty over Koscielny. Tests today and tomorrow. Ramsey is alright" – Wenger on team news. #AFC
