Video: Arsenal 2-0 Hull: Sanchez double secures much-needed win
Alexis Sanchez scored both goals as Arsenal secured a vital 2-0 win over Hull City at the Emirates this afternoon.
We started well and after missing a number of decent chances, we eventually broke the deadlock in the 354th minute and there an element of luck about the goal.
Kieran Gibbs saw his initial effort cleared off the line and after a few ricochets, the ball eventually found it’s way in to the net via Alexis Sanchez’s hand. It certainly wasn’t intentional but predictably the Hull players weren’t happy.
We failed to really push on but thankfully we were given the perfect opportunity to seal the three points when Lucas Perez’s goal-bound header was cleared off the line by the hand of Clucas.
The Hull defender was sent off and Sanchez drilled home the resulting penalty for 2-0 in the 91st minute to secure a much-needed 2-0 win which sees us move level on points with second-placed Tottenham.
