Confirmed: 5 Arsenal players called-up for England duty
Five Arsenal players have been called-up for England duty for the upcoming international break.
Theo Walcott has been named in Roy Hodgson’s senior squad for their Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania.
Walcott is in a rich run of form for Arsenal so it’s no surprise he’s been named in England squad and he’s been joined by team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Ox has been hit-and-miss for us so far this season as he gets in to some promising positions but his final ball has let him down at times.
Kieran Gibbs has also been called-up by Hodgson, despite struggling to win his first team place back from Nacho Monreal at Arsenal, and he could even start for the Three Lions with Luke Shaw out injured.
Calum Chambers has been selected by the England U-21’s for their qualifier against Kazakhstan while on-loan Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is also given a call-up.
