Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, as per The Times.

Despite winning the Premier League title last term, the Gunners have prioritised revamping the left flank this summer. After cashing-in on Leandro Trossard, they have purchased Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge.

Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on purchasing another left-winger and wants a marquee name. Initially, the Emirates club attempted to buy Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, but Chelsea have won this race.

After missing out on the Englishman, Arsenal are reportedly plotting an ambitious swoop for Real Madrid forward Vinicius Junior, who has entered the final year of his current contract.

However, The Times report that Arsenal are also interested in Barcola, but they will have to overcome stiff competition to seal the deal, as Liverpool are in this race as well.

Although Barcola struggled to break into Luis Enrique’s starting line-up in important Champions League matches over the last two seasons, Les Parisiens highly rate the Frenchman.

They have slapped a whopping £145m price tag on his head, with his existing deal set to run until 2028. They are using Rogers and Elliot Anderson’s transfer fees as reference points.

However, the report state that Arsenal or Liverpool don’t want to finalise the operation by matching the reigning European champions’ asking price.

Barcola is a left-winger by trait. He is quick, strong, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, and is also efficient in creating opportunities for fellow attackers.

The 23-year-old has showcased his productivity at Parc des Princes over the last two seasons. After making 41 goal contributions across all competitions during the 2024/25 campaign, he tallied 19 goals and assists last term.

Barcola has even secured his place in France’s star-studded squad, helping his side finish fourth in the recently concluded World Cup.

The youngster is a talented player and possesses high potential. He hasn’t reached his prime yet and possesses the necessary physical attributes to flourish in the Premier League.

Therefore, he would be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him. However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a concrete approach to secure his services during this offseason.
