Arsenal make contact to sign Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis

By on June 15, 2026

Arsenal have made contact to sign prolific Greek international winger Christos Tzolis this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

After finding regular minutes hard to come by during his stint at Norwich City, the prolific forward turned his career around following a move to Bundesliga outfit Fortuna Düsseldorf, where he delivered a remarkable 34 goal contributions across 37 appearances.

That level of output persuaded Brugge to make a permanent move in the summer of 2024. Since moving to Belgium, Tzolis has developed into one of the most productive attackers in both the Jupiler Pro League and across the wider European game, amassing 88 goal contributions in just 108 appearances for the Blauw-Zwart

Those performances earned him a permanent transfer to Brugge in the summer of 2024. Since arriving in Belgium, Tzolis has become one of the most productive attackers in both the Belgian Pro League and Europe, registering 88 goal contributions in just 108 matches for the Belgian champions.

In the recently concluded 2025-26 season, he played a pivotal role in Brugge’s march to a 20th league title, recording 22 goal involvements in the domestic campaign alone and setting a new personal best of 51 goal contributions across all competitions.

Tzolis to Arsenal

Such prolific form is expected to draw significant interest, with reports in May via Arsenal Station revealing that Arsenal are ‘intensifying’ their efforts to sign Tzolis this summer.

It appears the north London club are taking concrete steps to seal the deal, as Fabrizio Romano reports that the Gunners have made contact with the 24-year-old’s camp to discuss his possible transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

With Mikel Arteta’s left wingers, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, facing uncertain futures, there’s an expectation that the club could sign more than one winger.

As such, Romano adds that the Premier League winners also have Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers among their ‘top targets’, while Jeremy Monga is being courted as a future prospect, with talks ongoing.

While both Rogers and Barcola are expected to command exorbitant fees, The Athletic’s David Ornstein, in a separate report, reveals that there’s optimism that Arsenal could seal a move for Tzolis for just £34.5m.

While there’s no reported interest from other clubs at the time of writing, Arsenal still hold an advantage in accelerating negotiations, as the Greek international shares the same agency as Mikel Arteta via THE.TEAM.
