Arsenal ‘intensifying’ efforts to sign Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis

By on May 20, 2026

Arsenal are intensifying efforts to sign prolific Greek winger Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge next summer, as per TEAMtalk

A remarkable 2024–25 campaign saw Tzolis register 37 direct goal involvements while playing a major role in Club Brugge’s run to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League, where Aston Villa eventually eliminated them.

That outstanding level of form has carried into the ongoing season, with the 24-year-old continuing to produce decisive attacking returns for Nicky Hayen’s league-leading side in the Belgian Pro League, contributing 20 goals together with 27 assists across all competitions.

Before making his mark in Belgium, the winger, who will likely cost more than his £25m Transfermarkt valuation, also spent time with Norwich City in the EFL Championship, where he made 30 appearances.

It appears a potential return to England could be on the cards as TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal have ‘intensified’ their efforts to sign Tzolis in the summer.

The report adds that the Gunners had representatives at Brugge’s Jan Breydel Stadium on Sunday to watch the 24-year-old in action during the 5-0 win over Union Saint-Gilloise, where he netted once and provided three assists.

Tzolis to Arsenal

The north Londoners admire the Greek’s ability to play in different positions and view his clinical edge in front of goal as viable qualities for their frontline, according to the report.

In a boost to Arsenal, TEAMtalk Brugge are open to Tzolis’s departure in the summer amid interest from Mikel Arteta’s side and are looking to surpass the Belgian league record fee they received from the sale of Charles De Ketelaere to AC Milan for £32m in 2022

However, the Premier League leaders are not alone in the race and are set to face stern competition from Chelsea and Manchester United for the prolific winger’s signature, the report adds.

Tzolis would represent an immediate upgrade on Leandro Trossard, as he surpasses the Belgian in nearly every attacking metric. Given his consistently high level of goal involvement, there is a strong belief that he could provide Arsenal with a similar threat on the left flank to the one Bukayo Saka offers on the right.

A factor that could work in Arsenal’s favour is that the Greece international shares the same agency as Mikel Arteta through THE·TEAM. The Gunners will hope that the existing connection could provide them with a slight advantage in trumping Chelsea and United for his signature in the summer.
