Predicted Arsenal line-up against Everton
Arsenal are set to travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to take on Everton in the Premier League tonight. The Gunners had a rare full week break before this fixture, so they should be fresh.
Arsenal have struggled away against Everton over the years, winning only once out of the last seven matches and losing four. However, this will be their first visit to the Toffees’ new home ground.
The Merseyside club have enjoyed a promising campaign under David Moyes’ guidance thus far this season, sitting only two points behind fifth-placed Crystal Palace.
Team news
Cristhian Mosquera, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Kai Havertz remain sidelined due to their respective injury problems. Moreover, Ben White sustained a muscular issue vs Wolves and isn’t in contention to be involved tonight.
Thankfully, William Saliba returned to action against Wolves after recovering from his minor problem. Riccardo Calafiori was suspended last weekend, having picked up five bookings, but is ready to start once again.
Martin Zubimendi has played a lot of minutes already this season, so Mikel Arteta is trying to manage his minutes. But he shouldn’t have any issue featuring vs the Toffees.
Predicted line-up
David Raya is set to continue in goal, while Saliba and Piero Hincapié are likely to be the centre-back pairing. Jurrien Timber should return to the right-back position after starting as a centre-back in the last two Premier League games, while Calafiori would be on the opposite side.
Zubimendi could be in the deep-lying playmaker position, and Declan Rice is expected to be alongside the Spaniard in the engine room, with Martin Odegaard set to be the creative midfielder for the visitors.
Bukayo Saka would be on the right flank, having displayed an impressive performance last weekend, while Leandro Trossard might be on the opposite side. So, Gabriel Martinelli, Noni Madueke, and Mikel Merino would have to make do with a place on the bench.
Viktor Gyokeres should lead the line for the North London club, and Gabriel Jesus may feature as a substitute if needed.
Expected Arsenal line-up vs Everton
Raya; Timber, Saliba, Hincapié, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Rice, Odegaard; Trossard, Gyokeres, Saka
