Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Juventus star Federico Chiesa in the upcoming transfer window, as per the Spanish outlet Fichajes.

It is an open secret that the Gunners want to reinforce their attack by signing a new prolific goal-scorer. However, it appears strengthening the flanks is also on Mikel Arteta’s to-do list this summer as the North London club have been linked with a few names in recent times.

Pedro Neto, Michael Olise and Nico Williams have all been mentioned as serious targets for Arsenal but Chiesa is reportedly on their radar as well.

According to the report by Fichajes, Arsenal are interested in signing Chiesa and they could make a concrete approach to acquire his service ahead of next campaign.

The report further claims that Juventus want to raise funds by selling some of their assets and they could cash-in on Chiesa this summer. So, there is a possibility that the Italian could move away from the Allianz Stadium during the off-season. Therefore, Arsenal could manage to lure him to the Emirates Stadium to reinforce their frontline.

However, Fichajes states that Manchester United and Chelsea are also keen on signing him so the North London club are set to face fierce competition from their rivals in getting any potential deal done for him.

The 26-year-old – valued at around £43m by Transfermarkt – is set to enter the final year of his current contract this summer. So, Arsenal could manage to secure his signature in a cut-price deal ahead of next campaign.

Chiesa is a versatile player as he can play anywhere across the frontline. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, can finish off his chances, has the ability to create opportunities for fellow attackers and also works extremely hard without possession.

The Italian is a highly talented player and could be a shrewd signing for Arsenal if they purchase him. However, not many Italian players like to leave Serie A so it remains to be seen whether the North London club can manage to persuade the forward to move to the Emirates Stadium if they make a concrete approach this summer.
