Declan-Rice-Arsenal-2023

Following a hard-fought 4-3 victory over Luton Town, Arsenal will be travelling to Villa Park to take on Aston Villa in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

The Gunners are currently top of the league with 36 points from 15 games, sitting two points ahead of the second-placed Liverpool. So, Mikel Arteta’s side will be desperate to keep their winning run going tomorrow to maintain their league leader status.

However, defeating Unai Emery’s side won’t be easy for Arsenal as the Villans are currently unbeaten in 14 consecutive home games in the league. They even defeated Manchester City last time out.

So, Arsenal will have to be at their very best to come away with all three points from this fixture tomorrow. On the other hand, if Villa win this fixture then they will reduce the gap with Arsenal for just a single point.

Expected Arsenal line-up vs Aston Villa

Arteta won’t be on the touchline tomorrow after picking up the third booking of the season against Luton Town due to excessive celebration following Declan Rice’s stoppage-time winner.

David Raya could continue in goal for Arsenal despite displaying a poor performance last time out. So, Aaron Ramsdale will have to settle for a place on the beach.

William Saliba and Gabriel Magalhaes are guaranteed to start at the heart of the Gunners’ defence. Jurrien Timber remains sidelined due to a serious knee injury.

Takehiro Tomiyasu has been sidelined for a few weeks due to an injury so he isn’t available for selection tomorrow. Therefore, Ben White could continue in the right-back position. Oleksandr Zinchenko should return to the starting eleven after commencing on the bench last time out so Jakub Kiwior may go back to the bench.

Thomas Partey and Fabio Vieira are set to remain sidelined for this fixture owing to injury problems so Jorginho could commence in the holding midfield position for Arsenal. Declan Rice might be pushed up to the box-to-box role, while Martin Odegaard is likely to be in the number ten position.

In that case, Kai Havertz will return to the bench despite putting his name on the score-sheet last time out. Emile Smith Rowe isn’t available for selection due to his injury problems.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus should be the front three for Arsenal tomorrow. So, Leandro Trossard, Reiss Nelson and Eddie Nketiah will be among the substitutes in this encounter.
