Arsenal submit ‘very tempting offer’ to sign Ansu Fati
Arsenal have reportedly submitted a ‘very tempting offer’ to sign Barcelona star Ansu Fati this summer, as per the Spanish outlet Sport.
Having come through the Blaugrana youth system, the 20-year-old burst onto the scenes after displaying promising performances at Camp Nou a few seasons ago. However, the forward’s development has hampered massively following a few serious injury issues in recent years.
Upon returning to full fitness after recovering from his injury problem, Fati struggled to showcase his best last season and as a consequence of that, he failed to find regular game-time under Xavi Hernandez.
So, speculation surrounding his future continues to grow in this window and Fabrizio Romano has recently reported that clubs are pushing behind the scenes to open talks with Barca to sign Fati.
Now, according to the report by Sport, Arsenal have expressed a ‘serious interest’ in signing the Spaniard and they have already submitted a ‘very tempting offer’ to acquire the winger’s service.
Fati to Arsenal
It has previously been reported that Barcelona are looking to raise funds by selling some players to reinforce their squad this season. They could reportedly opt to cash-in on Fati and may accept a fee of around £50m.
However, Sport claims that Fati has no desire to leave Barcelona and wants to resurrect his career at Camp Nou. So, the Catalan giants have decided to reject the Gunners’ proposal.
If the player doesn’t want to leave then it would be difficult for Arsenal to acquire his service and it remains to be seen whether they can persuade him to move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
The 20-year-old is a left-winger by traits but can play anywhere across the front line. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, has the ability to finish off his chances and also can contribute opportunities for fellow attackers.
Despite Fati’s recent struggles, he is still a highly talented forward and has plenty of time on his side to resurrect his career. So, he would be a great coup for Arsenal if they manage to purchase him in this transfer window, however, it seems very difficult for Arsenal to acquire his service this summer.
