Arsenal are reportedly planning to sign two more players after securing Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber’s signature, as per the transfer insider Dean Jones.

The Gunners have been busy in this transfer window and have already purchased Kai Havertz from Chelsea. They are also closing in on signing Rice having agreed on a £105m deal with West Ham United and are leading the race to acquire Timber’s services after submitting a £41m proposal to Ajax.

Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jones has said that Arsenal won’t stop their transfer businesses just yet after signing Havertz, Rice and Timber as they are planning to sign two more players this summer.

However, the journalist claims that although Arsenal are looking to add more firepower to their squad in this transfer window, they aren’t expected to make moves just yet. Jones states that the Emirates club will now go to pre-season training and after assessing the squad, Arteta will decide in which position the North London club need to strengthen to challenge on all fronts from next season.

Arsenal want more reinforcements

Jones said:

“I expect Arsenal to put their foot on the ball after they get these next two signings through the door. It’s been an intense period trying to tie up Havertz, Timber and Rice, but they are in a very good place now and my information is that more signings will be coming — but not just yet.

“They will start getting the players in for pre-season and then assess how, when and where they attack the market further. It wouldn’t surprise me if there are two more to come — but not yet.”

Arsenal reportedly want to sign another midfielder after Rice this summer and Romeo Lavia has been mentioned as a serious target.

It has also been reported that the Gunners boss wants to purchase a new right-winger to support Bukayo Saka, however, despite being linked with several options over the last few months, Arsenal haven’t made a move for anyone yet.

So, it is going to be interesting to see what Arteta’s exact plans are after signing Rice and Timber to beef up the squad in this transfer window.
