Video: Qarabag 0-3 Arsenal: Smith Rowe scores as Gunners ease to victory
Emile Smith Rowe was among the goalscorers as Arsenal took control of Europa League Group E with a 3-0 win over Qarabag this evening.
We started brightly and opened the scoring inside the first five minutes. Nacho Monreal headed goal-wards from a Mohamed Elneny corner and his effort deflected off Sokratis and in to the net for 1-0.
We rode ur luck at times as the hosts had some good chances to equalise and had a goal rightly ruled out for offside but we eventually doubled our advantage midway through the second period.
And it was a great goal as Danny Welbeck flicked on a long pass to Alex Iwobi who drove at the Qarabag defence before releasing Emile Smith Rowe who cooly slotted home to make it 2-0 with his first senior goal.
The three points was secured in the 80th minute as Matteo Guendouzi found the bottom corner with a low effort from the edge of the area to make it two wins from two in the Europa League.
