Arsenal ‘particularly fond of’ Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers

By on June 12, 2026

Arsenal are ‘particularly fond of’ Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers, as per a transfer journalist.

Since moving to Villa Park from Middlesbrough, the 23-year-old has established himself as a talismanic figure, helping his side win the Europa League last campaign.

He has showcased his productivity over the last few years in the Premier League and didn’t disappoint last term either, scoring 14 goals and registering 11 assists in 55 appearances across all competitions. Rogers even helped his side finish fourth in the Premier League with 65 points from 38 matches.

Having proven his worth in club football, the youngster has secured his place in Thomas Tuchel’s England national team and is set to play a key role for his country in this World Cup.

As per a French journalist (via Caught Offside), after being impressed by Rogers’ recent developments, Arsenal are ‘particularly fond of’ him, with Mikel Arteta prioritising signing the Villa star to reinforce the frontline.

Apart from Rogers, the North London club are also interested in AFC Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi and could make a concrete approach over the coming weeks.

Although Aston Villa recently tied Rogers down to a fresh term until 2031, it has been suggested that he might be allowed to leave this summer, with the player valued at around £78m by Transfermarkt.

Rogers to Arsenal

Arsenal are reportedly planning to upgrade the left flank following Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard’s inconsistent performances last campaign.

Rogers can play multiple positions, and Arteta likes having versatile players. He is a creative midfielder by trait, but is comfortable playing on the left flank. Furthermore, he can provide cover on the right if needed.

Rogers is one of the best young forwards in the world and possesses the necessary attributes to flourish at the highest level. So, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a formal approach to lure him to the Emirates Stadium in this summer’s transfer window.

Meanwhile, apart from Rogers, Rafael Leao, Nico Williams, and Marcus Rashford have also been linked with a move to Arsenal as potential attacking reinforcements.
