[Photos] Ramsey tussles with Ozil as Arsenal players train ahead of Man City clash
The Arsenal players have been training in snowy conditions at London Colney today ahead of Thursday night’s Premier League clash with Manchester City.
We face playing the run-away league leaders for the second time in a matter of days as this match comes after our disappointing 3-0 defeat in the Carabao Cup final on Sunday afternoon.
Hopefully the players have a point to prove as our performance at Wembley was woeful and we desperately need all three points tomorrow in order to stay in the race for the top four.
We currently sit sixth in the table and 10 points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham so it’s safe to say anything other than a win over City and we can forget about the top four for another year.
Unfortunately, Nacho Monreal will be missing tomorrow after picking up a back injury at the weekend while Alexandre Lacazette is still on the sidelines following knee surgery.
Aaron Ramsey is expected to keep his place after coming through the cup final unscathed having returned from a groin injury and the midfielder was putting himself about on the training pitch today after being snapped tussling with Mesut Ozil.
Let’s hope we see more fight from the players tomorrow night and there was a distinct lack of it on Sunday.
