[Player Ratings] Arsenal 4-1 Palace: Monreal & Ozil shine for Gunners
Arsenal got back to winning ways after scoring four times in the opening 23 minutes to beat Crystal Palace 4-1 at the Emirates this afternoon.
Here are my ratings:
Cech 6.5/10 | Great save to keep out a deflected Zaha effort and another superb save to keep out Benteke. Unlucky not to keep a clean sheet.
Bellerin 6/10 | Overshadowed by his opposite number today. Solid outing.
Koscielny 7/10 | Dealt with Benteke easily and kept Palace at bay. Grabbed a goal too.
Mustafi 6.5/10 | Relatively easy afternoon’s work for the German. Looked more comfortable alongside Kos again.
Monreal 8.5/10 | A goal and two assists on his return at left-back. Was playing superbly before going off with a minor hamstring problem.
Wilshere 7.5/10 | Looked like he enjoyed playing with a bit more freedom alongside Ozil. Some lovely touches.
Elneny 7/10 | Kept things nice and simple in front of the defence. Much better from Elneny.
Xhaka 7/10 | Decent performance from Granit today. Linked up well with Wilshere and Ozil.
Ozil 8.5/10 | Head and shoulders above the rest for much of the game. Sublime touches at times and lovely assist for Lacazette. We’re a completely different team when he’s on song.
Iwobi 7.5/10 | Got a much-needed goal with a simple finish and could have grabbed a second after the break. Good to see him playing with more confidence today.
Lacaztte 7/10 | Finally ended his drought with a tidy finish. Let’s hope it opens the flood gates. Should have had a late penalty.
Subs:
Maitland-Niles 7/10 | Couldn’t live up to Monreal’s performance after replacing him but solid nonetheless.
Nelson, Kolasinac N/A
