Arsenal appear to have been handed some positive injury news ahead of this weekend’s clash with Burnley as Theo Walcott, Hector Bellerin, Francis Coquelin and Kieran Gibbs have all been spotted in training today.

Bellerin has missed our last two games against Preston North End and Swansea City after aggravating an ankle injury in training earlier this month but the right-back appears to be in contention to face Burnley after returning to full training.

Gibbs has been on the sidelines since suffering a knee injury against West Brom on Boxing Day but the left-back could also make his return to the squad on Sunday after being snapped back on the training pitches at London Colney today.

In a triple boost, the Arsenal camera’s also let slip that Walcott is back in full training as the attacker looks to make his comeback after missing the last five matches with a calf strain. You have to be eagle-eyed but you can just make out Walcott in the background of a couple of the photos below.

Francis Coquelin should also be in contention for a return to the starting eleven after making a swift recovery from a hamstring injury that he suffered against Bournemouth but I’d personally like to see the Ramsey/Xhaka partnership given more time to develop.

There was also some good news regarding Per Mertesacker as the defender was out on the pitches doing some drills as he continues to work his way back to full fitness after an injury-plagued campaign.
