Arsenal star named in Premier League Team of the Week
Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech has been named in the WhoScored Premier League Team of the Week.
The Czech international has been an excellent addition to the squad following his move from Chelsea in the summer and he proved his worth yet again with a Man of the Match performance at the Britannia Stadium on Sunday.
Cech produced a number of superb saves, including a vital double stop midway through the second half, to keep Stoke at bay and secure his 10th clean sheet of the season.
His display earned him a WhoScored rating of 8.24 which was the best of any goalkeeper in the Premier League at the weekend.
Aaron Ramsey was perhaps surprisingly the best-rated Arsenal outfield player as the Welshman narrowly missed out on a place in the TOTW with his score of 7.60 just falling short of Willian’s 7.68.
