Video: Newcastle 1-2 Arsenal: Giroud Bags Brace For Gunners
Arsenal held on to secure a vital three points with a 2-1 win over Newcastle this afternoon.
We opened the scoring when Cazorla’s free-kick was flicked on by Welbeck and Giroud was on hand to steer the ball past Krul via his knee for 1-0 in the 24th minute.
It was 2-0 shortly after as Giroud was at it again, this time heading home a Cazorla corner in the 27th minute.
Newcastle got themselves back in the game straight after half time when some terrible Arsenal defending allowed Sissoko the space slot home from 18 yards for 1-2.
The hosts pilled on the pressure to find an equaliser but we held out to move four points clear of Man Utd.
