Arsenal Chiefs ‘Trying To Secure’ £57m Double Deal – Report
According to reports, Arsenal officials are in Brazil trying to secure a £57m double swoop for winger Juan Cuadrado and striker Mario Balotelli over the next few days..
The Daily Star claim that Arsene Wenger has identified Cuadrado as a potential new recruit after scouting him over the course of last season.
It appears we are now going to step up our interest with the newspaper stating that the club have arranged to hold talks with the Colombian attacker’s agent, Alessandro Lucci, over in Brazil this week to discuss a potential move to the Emirates.
However, Fiorentina have set his asking price at around £28m, which could pose a problem, while it’s also understood the 26-year-old’s representatives have held talks with Bayern Munich and plan to meet with Barcelona officials at some point too.
The second part of this potential £57m double swoop is of course Mario Balotelli. The Italian has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in recent days and following on from reports suggesting that AC Milan chiefs had agreed to sell the player for £29m this summer, the Daily Star claim the 23-year-old’s agent, Mino Raiola, is going to meet Arsene in Brazil to discuss the finer details of the move.
Speculation has suggested we have already drawn up a bumper contract for the striker and are ready to make him one of the best paid players at the club, with Balotelli understood to be keen on returning to the Premier League this summer.
The signing of Balotelli would no doubt be met with excitement by the Emirates faithful, but I’d have my doubts about spending £28m on Cuadrado if I’m honest. The Colombian looks a decent talent, but if we’re going to bring in a winger this summer I think there are better options available.
With Bayern and Barca both also interested, it could be a blessing in disguise if we end up missing out on Cuadrado’s signature.

I think wenger sholud go 4 alexis sanchez bcos balloteli is a lazy striker.who can go in 4 more than 10 offside in a match whereas an xperience striker like sanchez knows hw 2 stay off from offside n he can diibble huzzle 4 ball n strike wit shoot, i think sanchez is the best.
