Arsenal appear to have been handed a boost with Mohamed Elneny taking part in full training today but there was no sign of Olivier Giroud as the players prepared for tomorrow’s clash with West Ham.

Elneny was forced off during the early stages of our EFL Cup defeat to Southampton at the Emirates in midweek after being struck down by a bout of sickness shortly before the game.

Arsene Wenger confirmed at his press conference this morning that the Egyptian international was a doubt for Saturday’s trip to the London Stadium and he’d make a check on him at training today.

It looks like the midfielder was given the all-clear as Elneny has been snapped taking part in full training and was all smiles so he didn’t look to be showing any ill effects of his sickness bug.

However, it appears Olivier Giroud has been ruled out of tomorrow’s game as there was no sign of the French international in any of the photos from Friday afternoon’s session.

Giroud missed Wednesday night’s League Cup game with a groin injury which he picked up last weekend and Wenger admitted earlier that the striker was a major doubt for the West Ham game.
