Arsenal keeping a close eye on Leipzig star Antonio Nusa

By on November 6, 2026

Arsenal are reportedly keeping a close eye on RB Leipzig forward Antonio Nusa, as per The Sun.

Despite selling Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard last summer, the Gunners only signed Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge to bolster the left flank.

As a result, Mikel Arteta has used Eberechi Eze and Noni Madueke this term to support the Greek. However, Eze is more comfortable in the CAM position, and Madueke is a right-winger by trait.

Now, The Sun state that Arsenal attempted to buy Vinicius Junior and Morgan Rogers last summer but ultimately failed to sign either of them. So, Arteta’s side have shifted focus to alternative options and have been keeping a close eye on Nusa.

However, after selling Yan Diomande to Real Madrid for a huge fee in the last transfer window, Leipzig don’t want to part ways with Nusa in January, with his existing deal set to run until 2029.

Nusa is valued at around £37m by Transfermarkt, and the German side usually play hardball to sell their big assets. So, it won’t be straightforward for Arsenal to seal the deal should they make a concrete approach.

Nusa is a right-footed left-winger. He is quick, technically sound, can dribble past opposition defenders in tight areas, is efficient in finishing off his chances, and works hard without possession.

Nusa to Arsenal

After moving to Red Bull Arena from Club Brugge, the 21-year-old initially took time to adapt to the Bundesliga. However, he has been showing glimpses of his qualities this season, scoring six goals and registering seven assists in 14 appearances across all competitions.

Nusa even scored against Manchester City in the Champions League in midweek. Having proven his worth in club football, the youngster has secured his place in the Norway national team.

Nusa is a talented player and possesses the potential to become a top-class winger in the future. Therefore, he might be a shrewd acquisition for Arsenal should they purchase him.

However, it is going to be interesting to see whether the North London club eventually make a formal approach to secure the Leipzig star’s services in January or next summer.
